The Main Reason For This Blog
I have a confession to make. Yes I love to crochet. Okay, I am a little obsessed with crocheting. Yes, I love just about any other crafting activity. Yes, I have an Etsy shop and realize that creating a shop blog is another way to get my stuff out there where it might possibly be discovered. But that is not why I started this blog.
The main reason for this blog is so that I can have the giveaway that I promised to my faithful Facebook fans without using Facebook to host it. I learned last week that it is technically not legal to use Facebook to host a giveway unless you go through a 3rd party that would require the entrants to add an app to their pages just to enter the giveway. There was a bunch of legal speak and pages of stuff to read through and I came away with my head spinning. I thought about doing the giveaway anyway. Everyone else seems to be doing it and not getting into trouble for it. But I know my luck. And with my luck, I will be the one person who gets made an example of and gets in trouble. I wish I had never read that rotten link. But I did and now I just feel like I can't go through with it knowing what I know. So welcome to my blog.
This may be an interesting new thing because I'm not really sure what I plan to do with it yet (other than that giveaway and probably other giveaways). I can't promise posting frequency or even entertaining content. I know I don't want to spend a whole lot more time on the computer when I could be enjoying my kids or my crafting or trying to make an occasional dent in Mount Laundry. But hopefully I can showcase some of my stuff, do a tutorial once in awhile, and have you get to know me a little bit. I'm open to suggestions and even guest posters if you'd like to share your crafty side!
